Paris – In a concerted effort to address the escalating situation in Gaza, His Royal Highness Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, a senior Jordanian official, engaged in several key discussions at the Paris international humanitarian conference on Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, these meetings took place on Thursday, involving high-level global representatives.

Prince Rashid met with prominent figures including Ireland’s Taoiseach Leo Eric Varadkar, Canada’s International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen, the World Food Programme’s Deputy Executive Director Carl Skau, and Uzra Zeya, the US State Department’s Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights. During these meetings, he reiterated Jordan’s stance on the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. His Royal Highness emphasized the urgency of increasing humanitarian and medical assistance to the region and the establishment of new humanitarian corridors.

Furthermore, Prince Rashid highlighted Jordan’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in their quest for their just and legitimate rights. He underscored ongoing Jordanian efforts to provide aid to Gazans, stressing the critical need for fuel provision in Gaza and the effective distribution of relief aid. His Royal Highness also advocated for measures to ensure clean water access for the Gaza population.

The discussions extended to the importance of coordinating international humanitarian agency efforts to precisely identify and address the needs in Gaza. Additionally, Prince Rashid called for the protection of Palestinians in the West Bank against violations, underlining the broader scope of the challenges faced by Palestinians in the region.
