Aqaba, Jordan River Foundation (JRF) embarked on implementing multiple training sessions and holding a “Sumo Robotics” Building and Programming Championship, within UNICEF’s Mobile Social Innovation Incubators, in partnership with Ministry of Youth, in cooperation with Zain Innovation Platform.

In a statement on Thursday, Director of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Community Empowerment Center in Aqaba (QRCEC), Ahmed Ghunaimat, said this training stimulates youth to innovate, raise their skills in the technology field and prepare participants to enter the labor market to become tech innovators.

Ghunaimat announced training activities targeted 27 young men and women aging 13-17 years old, adding that the date to hold final qualifiers will be next Thursday, in preparation for the National Sumo Robotics Competition at the Kingdom’s level.
