Damascus -The Science Mathematical Junior Olympiad 2021 has reached its last phase with 101 participants of the basic education from different provinces who compete in the final qualifiers that started on Monday in mathematics at Ebla Hotel and Umayyad Palace for Conferences in Damascus.
The mathematic tests took place on Monday for two-hour period with the participation of 51 students. The tests included questions that measure the skills of logical analysis and mathematical thinking in order to evaluate the student’s intellectual abilities.
SANA escorted the tests as director of the Scientific Olympiad project for adolescents in mathematics and science, Leen Qassem said that 51 male and female students took the tests in the domain of mathematics on Monday , while on Tuesday 50 male and female students will take the science “ physics, chemistry and biology” tests.
She noted that the top ten students in the tests of this stage will qualify for direct participation in the final qualifiers for Syrian Scientific Olympiad for tenth grade students without passing the qualification tests.
