Tehran, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Sayyid Ali Khamenei affirmed that the US spent billions of dollars to target Syria and other countries in the region because of their principal stances, but its schemes have failed .
Khamenei said that the western colonial front is adopting a special approach towards West Asia because of its importance and oil resources, as oil is considered the most important factor in the movement of the western Industrial wheel.
He indicated that the Americans, before launching an aggression against Iran, decided to target the countries in the region, such as Syria and Iraq Lebanon, Libya and others as they constitute the strategic depth of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He noted that the Americans themselves revealed this plan in 2006, and Khamenei considered that the enemy wanted, through the nuclear agreement, to prevent Iran from producing weapons to defend itself.
