Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov on Friday congratulated citizens on National Flag Day, which is celebrated annually on March 3.

In a video address, Zhaparov said the state symbol “embodies sovereignty and points the way to a fair, bright future.”

“I congratulate everyone on the day of the adoption of our national flag, which proudly flutters against the background of the mountains as a sign of victory, success, patriotism,” Zhaparov said.

He also wished peace, prosperity and well-being to the Kyrgyz people.
