Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Tuesday said during the launch of the “Strategic Plan for Social Protection in Lebanon” at the Grand Serail: “Amidst the developments we are experiencing, the most dangerous of which is the blatant Israeli violations of sovereignty and aggression against its people and land in southern Lebanon, some find the opportunity to engage in sterile debates that lead the country into unnecessary complexities, especially by accusing us with baseless allegations. In this context, I reiterate that those who exclude themselves and absent themselves cannot hold responsible those who manage the affairs of the nation and its citizens.”

“In the presence of the honorable ministers today, most of whom are here, I reiterate the call for everyone to return to cooperation, as happened today in this strategy for the welfare of the citizens,’ Mikati added.

‘Let the next phase of cooperation be free from absolute negativity, and let everyone return to the Council of Ministers’ table withou
t tension or campaigns. Let all issues be raised for calm scientific discussion, away from political campaigns and positions that do not benefit people and are invalidated by their frequent repetition and falsehoods,’ Mikati concluded.
