Libya accredits all Jordanian universities-Official

Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research recently accredited all Jordanian public and private universities, according to an announcement made by Jordan’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In a statement on Sunday, the Jordanian ministry’s media spokesperson, Muhannad Khatib, said this decision has been confirmed, based on an official letter sent by Libyan embassy’s cultural and academic attaché in Amman. Based on this move, all certificates granted to Libyan students and issued by Jordanian universities will be accredited by Libyan Quality Assurance Center, the official noted. The ministry affirmed its “constant and continuous” contact with Libyan cultural and academic attaché office in Amman to work to overcome any difficulties facing any Libyan student wishing to join any Jordanian higher education institutions, the statement said. This decision would have a “significant” impact in supporting the strategy to attract foreign students for 2023- 2027, which was prepared by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation and coordination with its strategic partner, Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) and was finally approved by Cabinet, the ministry said. Through this strategy, the ministry seeks to increase number of foreign students enrolled at Jordanian higher education institutions. A few weeks ago, Saudi Ministry of Education had also accredited all public and private Jordanian universities.
