Liverpool made history as they thrashed Manchester United 7-0 in the English Premier League week 26 game on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah became the club’s record English Premier League goalscorer as Manchester United were overwhelmed at the Anfield.

Cody Gakpo’s first goal for Liverpool came in the 43rd minute, and the first half ended 1-0. But the Reds’ second half performance was a joy to behold.

Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez scored an early shocker to Manchester United net in the 47th minute, and Gakpo scored another classy finish three minutes later.

Mohamed Salah then got on the scoresheet and his accurate shot to top left corner in the 66th minute made it 4-0 for the hosts.

In the 75th minute, Nunez scored another one for Liverpool, while Salah was at it again in the 83rd minute, making it 6-0.

The Egyptian star became the Liverpool’s top scorer in Premier League with 129 goals.

And in a fitting finish, Roberto Firmino’s goal in the 88th minute made it 7-0.

Liverpool got their biggest competitive win against the Red Devils, surpassing their 7-1 win in October 1895.

The Reds climbed to the 5th spot with 42 points, while the Red Devils are placed 3rd with 49 points.
