The Lower House of Parliament said that the situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings is a reflection of the practices of the extremist right-wing occupation government, which will drag the region into further crisis and undermine peace efforts by violating holy sites, storming Palestinian cities and camps, and arresting children, women, and the elderly.
The Lower House voiced his support to the Palestinian people until they achieve their legitimate rights on the basis of the two-state solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
A Lower House statement pointed out to the contents of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly a few days ago, in which he stressed that the delay in achieving justice and peace has caused the ignition of endless cycles of violence, just as His Majesty asked: “How can people trust global justice while the construction of settlements, the confiscation of lands, and the destruction of homes continue?”.
The Lower House condemned the brutal aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip and throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, and its continued violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
“Jordanians will remain supportive of His Majesty King Abdullah II, custodian of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and we will remain alongside Palestinian brothers, supporting their rights. We and the Palestinians are the closest to each other and we stand in the same trench, owners of a single cause, history, present and future,” the statement concluded.
