Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, met at his ministry office on Tuesday, the Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Ayman Samawi. Samawi said after the meeting: “Our visit to the Minister of Information aims to coordinate the coverage of the Jerash Festival events, through Television of Lebanon (TL) and some private Lebanese TV stations.” Samawi also pointed out that “the festival will extend from July 26 till August 5,” pointing out that Minister Makary expressed willingness to communicate with Lebanese television channels so that there will be comprehensive coverage of the festival. Jerash Festival director also considered that ‘the festival is one of the most important Arab festivals. It is 37 years old and is diverse, including music, dance, children’s programmes, cinema, theater and all forms of arts. Over a period of 10 days, the festival includes between 400 and 500 events.”
