DUBAI: Ahmad Fadil Bin Haji Shamsuddin, Ambassador of Malaysia to the UAE, expressed his country’s interest in learning from the UAE’s advanced AI capabilities.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) at the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024, he said that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim noted that the Malaysian Government should learn from Abu Dhabi in what concerns AI.

The Ambassador explained that the Malaysian Prime Minister and a delegation visited the offices of MASDAR City and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) last October to increase cooperation in renewable energy and AI.

The Ambassador stated that WGS 2024 constituted a valuable opportunity for Malaysia to share the activities and experience, especially in what concerns humidity, biology, science, economy, and AI. He outlined Malaysia’s ambitions in renewable energy and data management and the potential for cooperation between his country and the UAE in both areas.

The Ambassador congratulated the U
AE on organising WGS, which is making great strides in shaping the future governments.

Held under the theme “Shaping Future Governments”, the 2024 summit features over 200 prominent speakers – including presidents, prime ministers and experts – as they share their insights in keynote speeches and panel discussions, alongside 23 ministerial meetings and executive sessions welcoming over 300 ministers. The mega-event covers six main themes through 15 global forums and over 110 interactive dialogues and sessions.
