JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the ongoing Israeli military aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip and the increasing and indiscriminate attacks on the southern city of Rafah, which resulted in hundreds of casualties, the majority of whom are children and women.

OIC slammed the ongoing Israeli aggression as an open disregard of international warnings against the targeting of the city, which lacks the minimum basic living standards and has over 1.5 million Palestinians seeking shelter there after fleeing their homes.

IOC, in a statement, warned of the dangers of further expansion and escalation of the Israeli aggression, which shows that Israel is bent on committing the crime of genocide and aggravating human suffering in the Gaza Strip.

OIC denounced Israel’s unacceptable attempt to forcibly displace the Palestinian people in a blatant challenge to the ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which demanded Israel, the occupying power, refrain from acts under the
Genocide Convention and to prevent and punish the direct and public incitement to genocide.

The Islamic Organization also condemned the systematic terrorism, incitement and attacks committed by extremist Israeli colonists and the occupation forces against Palestinian residents and their land, properties, and holy sites in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

OIC renewed its call for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume responsibility for putting a comprehensive end to the Israeli aggression and ensuring the unconditional delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
