Sokhumi, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad discussed with Speaker of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Abkhazia Lasha Ashuba boosting parliamentary cooperation between Syria and Abkhazia.
Mikdad conveyed the congratulations of the Syrian leadership and the Syrian People’s Assembly to the people in Abkhazia on the occasion of Independence Day.
Mikdad said that Syria’s legendary steadfastness in the fight against terrorism and its supporters thanks to the Syrian people and army’s rallying around their leadership.
Mikdad stressed that Syria will continue to restore stability, end the occupation illegal military presence of foreign forces, and eliminate terrorism with the help of friendly countries and allies.
For his part, Ashuba stressed the Abkhaz people’s support for the Syrian people and leadership, expressing confidence that Syria will be able to restore stability and eliminate terrorism.
