Mikdad to UN Resident Coordinator : Work continues to implement early recovery projects

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Fayssal Mikdad, expressed his appreciation for the role played by Resident Coordinator of the UN development and humanitarian activities in Syria, Imran Reda, on the occasion of ending his duties and his transfer to perform other tasks.

The two sides reviewed the activities and projects that were implemented in cooperation between the UN team and the Syrian authorities concerned, in particular the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.


They affirmed that the work must continue at a high pace to implement early recovery projects stipulated in Security Council Resolution no.2642.

Minister Mikdad appreciated the important role of Reda during his work as a Resident Coordinator in Damascus, wishing him success in his new duties.

In turn, Reda expressed his appreciation and thanks for the support provided  from the Syrian government agencies to facilitate his tasks.
