Foreign and Expatriates’ Minister,Fayssal Mikdad, said that unilateral Western coercive measures, imposed on Syria, target the Syrian people, particularly the women and the elderly.
Mikdad, in an interview with the Chinese Xinhua News Agency, added that China helps Syria in the interest of peoples’ issues, future of the world, particularly in establishing international peace and security, contrary to the United States which imposes conditions, even on humanitarian organizations that work to provide support and assistance during crises.
Minister Mikdad affirmed that the US, through its support for its linked militias in northeast of Syria, is stealing Syrian oil, wheat and cotton and is preventing any form of development in that area.
As for the US questioning about democracy in China, Mikdad stressed that China adopts a justice and fair internal policy for all Chinese people and it adopts a genuine democratic policy in its relations with other states.
