Military production minister inspects products to be at display at EDEX 2021

Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the National Organization for Military Production (NOMP) and a number of ministry officials on Sunday inspected the products to be at display at the 2nd edition Egypt’s Leading Tri-Service Defense Exhibition (EDEX-2021), which runs from November 29 till December 2.

The products were displayed at “Military Factory 200” in Helwan.

During the tour, Morsi said this exhibition is a very important and exceptional event whose objective is to meet the needs and demands of the Armed Forces and Egyptian police from ammunition, arms and other relevant equipment.

He said this biannual exhibition reflects the political leadership’s vision outlined by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in placing Egypt on the map of world arms exhibitions.

The minister noted that more than 400 exhibitors representing major local and international companies operating in the military industries domain will take part in the fair which is expected to lure more than 30,000 visitors.

With 920,000 military personnel, the largest military power in Africa and one of the leading forces worldwide, Egypt is the ideal setting for a large-scale defense and security event. In addition, Egypt has historically maintained continuous investment in the latest weaponry as a defense strategy and has strengthened national production lines across a range of military complexes.

EDEX is fully supported by Egyptian Armed Forces and presents a brand new opportunity for exhibitors to showcase the latest technology, equipment and systems across land, sea, and air.
