Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din instructed the bodies concerned to make the utmost use of the technological capabilities of Helwan Iron Foundries (previously Factory 9).

During a meeting on Saturday 01/04/2023 to follow up the progress of some projects in which the foundry and steel complex is involved, the minister also directed that a production line assessment be conducted and a detailed report submitted with comprehensive improvement proposals to improve the company’s efficiency.

He also ordered the bodies concerned to carry feasibility studies for introducing new products, and other studies for marketing existing products, according to Salah El-Din’s media adviser Mohamed Eid Bakr.

The ministry is committed to laying out a clear-cut and well-defined improvement strategy for each affiliated company and unit, taking into account the business nature of each entity, Salah El-Din said.

He also urged officials at all the ministry’s affiliates to exert their best efforts for maintaining the ministry’s pivotal role in shoring up national economy and strengthening national civil as well as military industry, in cooperation with industry stakeholders in Egypt and abroad.
