Minister: Egypt, Germany cooperation worth €1.7bn

Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat has praised fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Germany, which hit €1.7 billion.

The minister made her remarks on Friday 18/03/2022 at a symposium on future business in Egypt. The event was organized by the German Agency for International Cooperation with the participation of a number of ministries and sectors of education, technological and vocation training in Egypt.

The current portfolio of cooperation includes financial contributions, technical support and soft loans used to carry out 30 development projects.

Such contributions aim to achieve economic sustainable development in the domains of energy, urban development, water, economic development and governance, the minister added.

German Ambassador to Egypt Frank Hartmann lauded good strategic partnership between Cairo and Berlin within the framework of international cooperation and developing financing.
