Caretaker Justice Minister, Henry Khoury, on Wednesday received in his office at the ministry, Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov, with whom he discussed the frames for activating the bilateral judicial cooperation agreements.

Caretaker Minister Khoury also met with British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, with whom he discussed the issue of the bilateral judicial cooperation, specifically between the Permanent Military Tribunal in Lebanon and the British judiciary, through the tour that will be made by judge and legal expert Roger Coventry, who had previously visited Lebanon and met a number of judges and jurists.

In this context, Minister Khoury said: “We are in the process of organizing a joint conference with the British state in cooperation with the Military Court judges in Lebanon, which will deal with the conditions of prisoners and the mechanisms of assistance in trials for detainees.”
