Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Wajih Azaiza underscored the government’s commitment to implementing the three modernization tracks (political, economic, and administrative) and following up on and evaluating the plans of ministries and institutions in this regard.

He made the remark during the inauguration of the Khuta (Steps) project, which is being implemented by the ministry in cooperation with the Partners – Jordan Foundation and the German Friedrich Naumann Stiftung.

Azaiza urged the relevant ministries and institutions to join hands and branch out to other sectors, stressing that state institutions are committed to implementing political modernization. The ministry, he noted, is concerned with following up on this issue in cooperation with the Independent Election Commission and the relevant authorities.

In turn, Reem Badran, CEO of Partners – Jordan, said that the launch of the “Khuta” project will be followed by a three-day workshop to train ministry liaison officers on the outputs of political modernization, in addition to analyzing performance and the progress made in implementing activities and programs within the specified time frame.
