Ministry of Health launched today the “National Vaccination Day” for the unvaccinated infants as of one year to five years’ old, and last till the 9th of June.

“The campaign is to estimate the vaccination status of about 2.7 million children all through the country where the available data denotes that nearly 100 thousand babies haven’t taken their doses of vaccination” Dr. Razan Al-Tarabishi, Director of Primary Care at the Ministry said.

“the campaign is to be run in 1209 health centers and with the participation of 777 field teams with the help of 9500 health personnel” Al-Tarabishi added.

Vaccines to counter polio, tuberculosis, tetanus, measles, rubella, diphtheria, mumps, whooping cough, hepatitis C, and diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae, meningitis, pneumonia, septicemia, and otitis media will be offered to to sustain the immunity of the vaccinated children.
