More Romanians installing PV panels to produce clean energyIsrael commits a new massacre against civilians desperately awaiting aid in Gaza City

BUCHAREST: The number of Romanians producing clean energy has increased exponentially in the past two years, reported AGERPRES, the national news agency of Romania.

‘In 2021, 13,600 prosumers were registered. In just two years, the number has grown exponentially. Today, there are more than 120,000 Romanians who have installed photovoltaic panels and produce clean energy, which they supply to the grid,’ the agency quoted the organisers of an energy forum in Bucharest as saying.

Freedom House Romania is organising on Thursday the Energy Forum event, where Romanian and foreign experts, representatives of authorities and private companies will debate the implications of the European Union’s ‘green’ objectives.

Although change is rapid, green energy development is still in its infancy in Romania. There is increasing talk of energy cooperatives, where citizens share the renewable energy they produce. Large investors are developing photovoltaic panel farms and wind farms with increasing power production, they not
ed.

But the transition to green energy is not an easy step and cannot be achieved without conventional sources, the organisers of the event said in a press release.

GAZA: Dozens of innocent civilians were brutally murdered or wounded tonight in a new slaughter committed by the Israeli occupation forces. The massacre targeted a crowd of people waiting for the arrival of desperately needed relief aid at the Kuwait roundabout in Gaza City.

Local sources reported that the casualties occurred after Israeli warplanes and drones launched salvos of gunfire and missiles targeting a crowd of people who were waiting for the delivery of food and relief supplies near the Kuwait roundabout in Gaza City.

A video clip captured by a journalist at the scene of the deadly Israeli assault showed the bodies of several victims, including children, at the site of the massacre.

The bodies of at least 14 slain individuals and many more wounded were transported to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the aftermath of the Israeli carnage.

The Kuwait roundabout in Gaza City is the site designated for the delivery of UN aid destined to the northern Gaza Strip, subject to the approval of the Israeli o
ccupation authorities.

In recent weeks, the venue has seen repeated massacres perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians waiting for the arrival of aid trucks.

The northern Gaza region, which includes Gaza City and the North Gaza province, has been under tight Israeli blockade since the outbreak of the ongoing Israeli war of genocide on the Strip, pushing the region’s nearly 700,000 Palestinian citizens to the verge of famine.
