At least 2000 people were killed in the past few days as a result of floods caused by heavy rains in eastern Libya, while more than 5000 others are declared missing.



“At least 2000 people were killed as a result of the floods and torrential rains caused by Hurricane Daniel in Derna, the Green Mountain areas and the outskirts of al-Marj, in addition to the massive damages that affected public and private property,” said the media advisor to the Libyan Prime Minister, Mohammad Masoud.
