Sweida- Sweida Agriculture Directorate estimated the total production of grapes for the current season in the province at nearly 60 thousand tons, including 58 thousand tons for rainfed grapes and the remaining for the irrigated ones.
Sweida Agriculture Director, Ayham Hamed, said in a statement to SANA on Sunday that the expected production for this season will be better than the last one, referring that the total cultivated areas with grapes at the province is 9937 hectares.
He added that planting vine, which has a good taste, in Sweida province is one of the main cultivations in it.
