Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, emphasised the crucial role of the Emirati family in fostering a culture of tolerance, coexistence, and acceptance within the diverse segments of society.

He highlighted this during his visit to the Ministry’s pavilion at the 4th Abu Dhabi Family Forum.

Sheikh Nahyan noted the alignment between the forum’s objectives and the Ministry’s mission. He stressed that the strong foundation of the Emirati family serves as a model for promoting the values of tolerance, dialogue, and inclusivity across the nation.

Lauding the forum’s effectiveness, Sheikh Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the Mother of the Nation.

He attributed the forum’s success to her unwavering commitment to strengthening the Emirati family as a local,
regional, and global exemplar.

Sheikh Nahyan emphasised the family’s vital role in achieving sustainable development goals and addressing contemporary challenges. He commended the forum’s focus on innovative solutions that contribute to family cohesion, stability, and the empowerment of talented individuals, entrepreneurs, and people of determination.

He expressed his admiration for Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, highlighting her dedication to family, women, and children, as well as her efforts to foster unity within the community. He proudly declared her a “global symbol” who inspires Emiratis and the world.

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the Presidential Court, inaugurated the forum in Abu Dhabi, signaling strong leadership interest in supporting the social sector, fostering family stability, and nurturing positive societal values. This reflects a commitment to optimising investment in experiences and hu
man resources. The continuous support from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan aligns with the state’s visionary goals.

The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence’s participation in this forum emphasises bolstering tolerance and coexistence for societal and familial unity. The pavilion aims to reinforce national identity values among the youth and enhance the family’s role through engaging activities. The forum’s objectives include instilling social intelligence, fostering social cohesion, building trustworthy relationships, and preserving the authentic values integral to the UAE’s foundation by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasised a commitment to collaboration among federal, local, educational, societal, and private institutions. The aim is to promote tolerance and coexistence by fostering communication and effective partnerships, particularly with societal bodies. This effort aims to propagate genuine Emirati values and cultivate a culture o
f peaceful coexistence across society, nurturing a harmonious and stable community.

He stressed the ministry’s dedication to forming extensive partnerships that foster collaboration to achieve significant objectives aligned with our leadership’s vision. He stated that continuous communication and effective collaboration between the ministry and various institutions are vital to reaching these goals. The main focus is on fortifying genuine values and national identity, nurturing a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in society.

He highlighted the joint efforts aimed at constructing a society characterised by peace, sustainable cooperation, and built upon the principles of tolerance, coexistence, and human unity.

Additionally, the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence emphasised its pavilion’s display of diverse activities throughout the forum. These activities include interactive workshops for children and competitions centred on cultivating a culture of tolerance, coexistence, identity, heritage,
and honouring the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, the nation’s Founding Father.

The pavilion also features a permanent book exhibition and the launch of the ministry’s “Tolerance Knowledge Content.” Moreover, notable Emirati authors and intellectuals gather there to discuss authentic Emirati values, family unity, generational identity, and the promotion of loyalty, national belonging, and heritage preservation in the UAE.
