Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf issued edicts reducing fees for 223 Bahraini tenant families and exempting three others last September.
“The reduction is in line with the directives of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s resolution to alleviate living costs for citizens”, said the minister in a statement.
The move is also in implementation of the royal drive of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to ensure decent living conditions for all citizens and exempt low-income families from paying the fees or waive their arrears.
