Nabulsi takes part in Arab Development Summit forums in Cairo

Minister of Youth and Deputy Chairman of Executive Office of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council, Mohammad Nabulsi, participated in forums of Arab Economic and Social Development Summit. The summit, organized by Arab League in Cairo, comes in preparation for holding the 5th Arab Development Summit in Mauritania. According to a ministry statement on Wednesday, Nabulsi chaired the main session of Arab Youth Forum under the theme: “Arab Youth and Food Security,” which was held today, in presence of Arab youth and sports ministers, representatives of international organizations and civil society institutions, and a number of the participating youth. During the session, Nabulsi called on the audience to observe a minute of silence for the martyrs’ souls and in honor of steadfastness of Gaza people. Nabulsi also reviewed Jordan’s experience in facing challenge of food security and highlighted the government efforts in developing National Strategy for Food Security, in response to the Royal visions towards food security as a national and global priority. Additionally, he pointed to youth’s role in achieving food security and facing related challenges through “pioneering” youth-led initiatives and ideas in the fields of agriculture, environment, referring to their steps to confront climate change effects. Nabulsi said Jordanian youth have embraced climate, environment and food security issues, and have “effectively” contributed to presenting green initiatives and developing technological technologies in agricultural and environmental projects that contribute to confronting food security challenges. Nabulsi valued outcomes of the study: “Arab Youth and Food Security: Opportunities and Challenges” on food security and its impact on youth, as well as identifying challenges and presenting opportunities aimed to enhance entrepreneurial youth role in the food field and transforming agricultural opportunities into attractive opportunities for youth. The study also shed light on Arab experiences in empowering youth towards business entrepreneurship in the food security field, he pointed out.
