General Coordinator of the National Dialogue Diaa Rashwan had a meeting on Friday with the second group of leaders of human rights organizations expected to participate in the dialogue’s sessions of the committees concerned with human rights and general freedoms.
The participants presented their vision for the issues presented to the sessions of the Human Rights and Public Freedoms Committee, particularly issues related to people with disabilities, women, and freedom of belief within the framework of the discrimination commission.
The participants expressed their firm desire to effectively participate in the national dialogue.
They said that they would present to the dialogue the visions of their institutions on all issues raised for the dialogue.
In a related context, Rashwan added, in a phone call to the “Extra News” news channel, that the last meeting was attended by 10 organizations, and this time 12 organizations and a number of figures related to human rights in Egypt participated.
Diaa Rashwan indicated that all the participating parties are keen to participate in the dialogue. The coordinator added that the meeting was detailed as before, and all issues that hinder human rights were discussed.
