Manama, Chief Executive of the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, underlined the great importance accorded by the Kingdom of Bahrain to cyber security, being a main pillar in the technical system and an essential requirement for Bahrain’s economic growth. He noted the pivotal role of NCSC in implementing its national strategy to provide a secure and trusted electronic space for all vital sectors in the kingdom.

This came during a meeting with Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), Dr. Raed bin Shams, to discuss cooperation and map out strategic visions between NCSC and BIPA.

Shaikh Salman indicated that NCSC and BIPA are working on carrying out joint programmes to raise the participants’ awareness of effective ways to deal with cyber risks and apply the basics of protection at work. He pointed out that there will be soon an electronic training session aimed at promoting the cyber security culture among public and private sectors employees.

Dr. bin Shams affirmed the significance of fostering the cyber security culture among the individuals and the public and private sectors employees through more efforts between NCSC and BIPA. He pointed out keenness to achieve the fifth pillar of the National Cyber Security Strategy that aims to develop the national cadres and boost their capabilities to transfer their experiences to the second ranks in order to ensure sustainability and continuity.
