Nebenzia: Washington continues to loot Syrian oil under pretext of fighting terrorism

New York, Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, reiterated that the United States continues to steal Syrian oil, under the pretext of combating terrorism.

TASS news agency quoted Nebenzia as saying at UNSC session that “We repeat once again that the United States is stealing Syrian oil in Syria and under the pretext of combating terrorism, and it was doing this in the beginning through a company with an obscure history designated for this purpose, but after the situation began to seem very scandalous even for Washington’s allies, the latter resorted to Looting the natural resources in Syria by other means through its army.

On another topic, and in response to the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Linda Thomas Greenfield, labeling African countries “client countries or clients” in her comment on economic cooperation between these countries and Russia, Nebenzia said: “This designation is surprising” stressing that Moscow, unlike Washington Treat African countries as partners, not clients.”
