Nesto pledged to contribute AED10 million over a period of five years to support the campaign and its objective of creating sustainable solutions and implementing effective measures to fight hunger around the world. The Group’s contribution adds to an exceptional community-wide response to the campaign shown by individuals, institutions and businesses keen to help fight hunger and malnutrition. K. P. Basheer, Chairman of Western International Group which operates Nesto Group, said, “Nesto Group’s contribution reflects our commitment to social responsibility and willingness to support UAE’s various aid campaigns. This campaign aims to provide food aid to the underprivileged beyond the month of Ramadan, in addition to establishing a sustainable food aid endowment fund that provides aid for years to come.” The campaign continues to welcome donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across five main channels including the campaign’s website (www.1billionmeals.ae), as well as a dedicated call centre via the toll free number (800 9999).
