Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the army to prepare to evacuate the city of Rafah, which is crowded with about a million displaced Palestinians, and to begin a military operation to eliminate the remaining Hamas brigades, according to Sky News Arabia.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office added in a statement, “It is clear that a massive military operation in Rafah is forcing us to evacuate civilians from the combat zone.”

The statement explained, “The Prime Minister gave his instructions to the occupation army and security services to present to the war council a double plan to evacuate civilians and eliminate the brigades.”

He said, “The war goals cannot be achieved by eliminating Hamas and leaving four Hamas battalions in Rafah.”

According to the agency, the occupation forces say that ‘Rafah is the last stronghold of Hamas, and that there is a need to send forces to complete their plan to eliminate the armed movement.’
