No Covid patients in Qena hospitals – Health

for the first time since the onset of Covid-19 pandemic, all hospitals in the Upper Egypt governroate of Qena are free from coronavirus patients, the Ministry of Health and Population announced Thursday.

Spokesman for the ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that results of Covid-19 tests were all reported negative in a span of the past 15 days in the governorate.

That can be attributed to high vaccination rates for citizens against the the virus, he added.

The ministry’s undersecretary in Qena Ragy Tawadros asserted that all Covid tests are negative for the 48 cases, that are being treated in the hospitals.
