Occupation forces bock olive harvest south of Nablus, force farmers out of their land

NABLUS: Israeli occupation forces prevented dozens of Palestinian farmers this morning from harvesting their olive crops and forcibly evicted them from their lands in the village of Yanoun, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Rashid Murrar, the head of Yanoun Village Council, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces broke into olive-plainted lands near the village, compelling farmers to leave the area and prohibiting them from picking their olive fruits.

The olive harvest season in Palestine is a significant cultural and economic activity for Palestinian communities, and interruptions to this vital process have detrimental consequences for the livelihoods of many families.
