RAMALLAH: Tawfiq Hafiz Ajjaq, a 17-year-old Palestinian-Amercian, was fatally shot by Israeli forces this evening near the town of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiya, east of the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent, citing medical sources at the Palestine Medical Complex, said Hajazi was struck by live ammunition in the head, sustaining critical injuries.

He was initially rushed to the complex in a critical health condition, before he was pronounced dead of his wounds.

The slain teenager returned to his homeland, Palestine, almost a year and a half ago after living abroad. He had US citizenship.
