Officials check on progress of SFD-funded projects in Jordan

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Public Works, Jamal Qteishat and representative of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Mshari Al-Awad, discussed the progress of SFD-funded educational projects and implemented by the Ministry

During the meeting, Qteishat lauded the fruitful and continuous cooperation of the SFD, which reflects the depth of the relationship between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, which the leaders of the two brotherly countries are keen to sponsor and ensure its sustainability in various fields.

The meeting highlighted status of the 8 projects that were completed and delivered to the Ministry of Education at a total cost of JD24 million. The meeting also dealt with the new projects currently being implemented, including 6 schools at a total cost of JD12.4 million, in addition to a project to build 5 schools funded by an SFD loan at a total cost of JD12.7 million

During the meeting, stakeholders were instructed to follow up on progress of these projects to ensure their implementation within the specified timeframes and cost, in addition to coordinate with the Ministry of Planning to inform them of stages of completion
