The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed its concern about the conditions of thousands of Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the Israeli occupation and the continued arbitrary measures against them and depriving them of basic rights.

The OIC called in two letters addressed by its Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, to assume their responsibilities to hold Israeli occupation accountable for violating the international law, and to pressure to release Palestinian prisoners, especially the sick, the elderly, and children, women, and administrative detainees, ensuring respect for the human rights of all Palestinian prisoners, and stopping the ongoing Israeli violations against them.
