Muscat, The Sultanate of Oman welcomed the joint statement issued by the meeting in Aqaba in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which included Jordanian, Egyptian, Israeli, Palestinian and American officials.

Oman hoped that the understandings that took place will lead to de-escalation and prevent the cycle of violence between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, as well as committing to what was agreed upon.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Oman reiterated its unwavering stance towards the Palestinian cause by enabling the brotherly Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
