Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Maliki and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Siraj al-Din Muhr al-Din, inaugurated today the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe. The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Tajikistan, senior officials of the Tajik government, heads of international organizations and representatives of civil society. During the inauguration ceremony, the two ministers delivered speeches in which they stressed the importance of the presence of the Embassy of Palestine in Tajikistan, affirming that the opening of the Palestinian Embassy reflects the implementation of the instructions and directives of the leadership of the two countries. They also stressed that the opening of the embassy is an actual translation of mutual brotherly relations and solidarity, as well as the depth of the relationship between the two countries and their peoples. The two top diplomats affirmed that they would do everything necessary to maintain this distinguished relationship, deepen it and raise it to the highest levels, to include new areas of cooperation that were agreed to be advanced in the near future.
