A Palestinian teenager was pronounced dead tonight after being injured with live ammunition by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Jayyus, east of Qalqilya, according to medical sources.

The Ministry of Health reported that 17-year-old Muhthadi Majed Salim died after he had been shot and injured by live ammunition earlier tonight by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Jayyus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society had earlier said that Salim was shot with live ammunition, with an Israeli bullet penetrating his back during confrontations in the town. They also reported that Israeli forces had stopped the ambulance transporting him to hospital and prevented it from passing.

In a related incident, another young man was injured by explosive live ammunition in his foot during confrontations with the Israeli occupation army at the northern entrance of Qalqilya. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

Additionally, two other Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces’ live ammunition, with one
sustaining injuries to the neck and the other to the abdomen during confrontations at the entrance of the village of An-Nabi Elias, east of Qalqilya. Both were described as in serious condition, according to the Ministry of Health.
