Several Palestinians suffocated by tear gas this evening during confrontations that broke out with Israeli forces in the village of Jalbun, northeast of Jenin, said a local official.
Head of Jalbun village council, Ibrahim Abu al-Rob, said Israeli forces stormed the western part of the village and carried out a search campaign there, leading to confrontations.
Forces attacked residents with tear gas canisters and stun grenades, causing several people to suffocate.
Forces further stormed several towns and villages west and southwest of Jenin, carriying out similar search campaigns.
