Planning Minister heads to Washington to partake in Harvard’s ministerial leadership forum

Hala el Saeed, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, headed to Washington to participate in the Ministerial Leadership Forum at Harvard University, held on April 24-27.

The event is held in cooperation with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and with the participation of ministers from different countries.

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development said the forum addresses points on economic development, investment in human capital, a review of the effective contributions of ministers, leadership practices and challenges, balancing current needs, long-term growth and the development agenda.

The forum also aims to discuss the framework of the public financial strategy, resource mobilization, and means on creating a favorable environment for investment and leadership at the times of crises, according to it.

The event is also an opportunity for participating ministers to review their roles and contributions in governments, discuss different ideas and viewpoints aimed at balancing the financial needs and the urgent requirements of citizens, in addition to making investments to help achieve economic recovery and future growth, the ministry added.
