PM affirmed, in his meeting with the ambassadors of a number of European countries, the government’s keenness to develop existing relations

Baghdad, Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed today, Thursday, the government’s keenness to develop existing relations and joint cooperation, strengthen bilateral relations and develop common interests.

A statement by Al-Sudani’s office stated that the Prime Minister received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Martin Jaeger, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Martinez, and the Ambassador of the Vatican, Meta Leskovar.

The meetings witnessed the Prime Minister’s affirmation of the Iraqi government’s keenness to develop existing relations, and develop them towards everything that serves the interests of the Iraqi people and friendly peoples.

He pointed to Iraq’s openness to constructive and developmental partnerships, which take into consideration cooperation in facing global and regional challenges, and what is related to reviving the economy and confronting climate change and its effects.

During the meetings, Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq’s commitment to a balanced policy in the face of global and regional crises, and the performance of its effective role in the framework of consolidating peace and stability, and strengthening the capabilities of brotherly and friendly peoples to face various economic and social challenges.
