PM: Decent Life to include several cultural, intellectual activities

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Tuesday5/4/2022 the presidential initiative of Decent Life will include holding several cultural and intellectual activities in various governorates to enrich the citizens’ culture.

Madbouli was speaking during his meeting with Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem to discuss a report on the cultural events which had been held in Sohag and Qena governorates from March 3 to 12.

Abdel Dayem noted that the Culture and Tourism and Antiquities Ministries cooperated in holding cultural events in the two Upper Egypt governorates to promote cultural tourism which can become a key approach to develop and maintain the social sustainability of small towns.

The minister pointed to holding of the second edition of the Dandara Festival for Music and Singing in Qena, which was attended by 20,000 spectators over three days, and Qena’s book fair at Qena’s Girls Club on March 3.

She also referred to the organization of the first edition of the Abydos Music and Song Festival in Sohag, which was attended by 10,000 spectators over three days.
