Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has praised efforts exerted by the Cabinet’s higher medical committee to solve issues facing citizens in the health sector in April.

During a meeting with the committee’s chairman Dr. Hossam el Masry, the premier stressed the need for continuing efforts to alleviate the suffering of patients and their families and provide them with all possible support in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

He also praised high-level cooperation among health bodies concerned to respond to complaints.

“We are all working on achieving one goal, which is serving the Egyptian citizen,” Madbouli noted.

Masry, for his part, said 486 cases were handled in April, including 127 surgeries.

He added that the committee took necessary measures for 90 cases of oncology and gamma knife, and provided medicines for 35 cases.
