Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the government is keen to implement the public offering program, which comes as part of the State Ownership Policy Document.
The premier added this program aims to lure further foreign investments and increase the private sector’s participation to stimulate economic growth, in addition to expanding the ownership base.
Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting on Sunday with the ministers of petroleum, planning, finance, public business sector and trade, as well as Sovereign Fund of Egypt CEO Ayman Soliman.
During the meeting, the prime minister announced the start of procedures for offering the National Petroleum Company (NPC) and the National Company for Natural Water in Siwa (SAFI), as of Wednesday, said Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad.
