Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected Saturday 14/01/2023 Arish University to follow up on its educational process.
Study in the university returned to normal, affirmed North Sinai Governor Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha.
He further noted that Republican Decree No. 147 was issued in 2016 to establish Arish University and separate it from Suez Canal University.
The establishment of this university is considered one of the most strategic decisions to serve the Sinai community, he added.
For his part, Arish University President Hassan el Demerdash said that the number of university students currently stands at 7,292.
Arish University has 11 faculties along with a research institute for postgraduate studies, he added.
He also referred to the university’s crucial role in participating in several development initiatives, atop of which is the Decent Life presidential initiative, which aims to improve standards of living, infrastructure and basic services across the countryside.
