PM inspects factory affiliated to Al Arafa for Investment & Consultancies

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inspected Saturday a factory affiliated to Al Arafa for Investment & Consultancies, a leading manufacturer and retailer for ready-made clothes.

Accompanying the prime minister during his tour, Chairman of Al Arafa for Investment and Consultancies Alaa Arafa said the group, which boasts one of the largest factory-base in the Middle East and Africa, contributes to increasing Egypt’s exports of ready-made clothes, especially to the US, Spain, and the UK.

The group also depends on Egyptian fabric for suit tailoring, which supports the State’s efforts to entrench local industry, Arafa said.

With nearly $250 million in annual sales, the group has a select group of cadres in management, investment, and textile industry, making it a major target for leading investors, he added, noting that the group offers 10,000 job opportunities.

During the tour, Madbouli talked to the factory workers to follow up on their conditions and the services available to them, including accommodation and transportation.
