PM lauds efforts of int’l cooperation ministry

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli lauded the efforts exerted by the Ministry of International Cooperation in the previous period to gather the support of the partners of international development to the national projects adopted by the Egyptian state.

This came during Madbouli’s meeting on Sunday night with International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat to review the projects of the state in 2022.

Mashat pointed out to resuming the efforts of her ministry to support the projects of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” which depend on basic axes including implementing the projects of the initiative and investing in the human capital in addition to promoting the targets and programs of the initiative.

The ministry will work on expanding the projects that support the communities and rural women in partnership with the World Food Program, Mashat said.

Mashat said that the developmental interventions aim at achieving integration with the national initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside via investment in the human capital and social and economic empowerment of the segments targeted in the areas of the project.

Mashat said that “Decent Life” initiative is promoted in the international gatherings and conferences, adding that a specialized workshop was held during Egypt International Cooperation Forum to promote important developmental initiatives and projects in Egypt.

Mashat also presented the efforts exerted to host COP 27 in Egypt, adding that there is a bundle of projects to adapt with the climate in the sectors of environment, local development, transport, agriculture, land reclamation, electricity, renewable energy, housing, utilities and urban communities.

During the meeting, Mashat presented the features of the Egyptian initiative on developing an international framework for innovative funding of climate work to support the sustainable investments in the infrastructure in light of the increasing demands of the countries affected by coronavirus.
