PM: Private sector is principal partner in development, service projects

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Saturday 09/04/2022 the state considers the private sector as a key partner in various development and service projects.

He made the remarks during an inspection tour of some foodstuff factories within the CBC Egypt for Industrial Development investment zone in the 6th of October city.

He was accompanied by Minister of Trade and Industry Nivine Gamea, Giza Governor Ahmed Rashed, and Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab.

He started his tour by inspecting Tanbo Food Ingredients, a food manufacturing corporation specialized in manufacturing dehydrated onion.

He also cited presidential directives to work for promoting the role of the private sector by increasing its share of investments and working for ensuring an investment-friendly environment for private companies, given their remarkably growing role in development projects recently.

Madbouli also highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure availability of production inputs.

Meanwhile, Abdel Wahab asserted the government’s commitment to creating an environment conducive for investments and business, referring to the recent decision to incentivize investment activities, as well as the launch of the 3rd edition of Egypt Investment Map that offers over 2,500 investment opportunities in various industries.
